Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It covers our websites nord-tech.org and getpolaris.net and the Nord-Tech Polaris application.

Who we are

Nord-Tech Polaris is operated by Eternal AS, Johan Berentsens vei 41, 5160 Laksevåg, Norway, which is the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at nordtechsoftware@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

The Polaris application runs locally on your own computer. Your platform logins, sessions, media, captions and scheduled content never leave your machine and are never sent to us.

What we collect and why

• Account & licensing — your email address, license key, and an anonymous device identifier used to enforce the one-active-machine model. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Payments — handled by Stripe. Stripe processes your card details, billing address and taxes; we never see your full card number. Basis: contract.
• Trial reminder emails — if you request a free trial, we email your key and a small number of reminders about that trial. Basis: our legitimate interest in helping you use what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe from these at any time via the link in every email.
• Analytics — on nord-tech.org we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. Basis: your consent.
• Advertising measurement — on getpolaris.net we use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. Basis: your consent.
• Support — if you email us, we keep the message to answer you. Basis: legitimate interest.

Cookies & tracking

We only set non-essential cookies after you accept them in the banner. You can change your mind any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

• Essential — needed for the site and checkout to work (e.g. remembering your consent choice). Always on; no consent required.
• Analytics (nord-tech.org) — Google Analytics 4. Loads only after you accept.
• Advertising (getpolaris.net) — Meta Pixel. Loads only after you accept.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make Nord-Tech work, each acting under a data-processing agreement:

• Stripe — payments and billing.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, our licensing API and database.
• MailChannels — sending your license key and emails.
• Google — analytics (only with your consent).
• Meta — advertising measurement (only with your consent).

International transfers

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep account and license data for as long as your license is active. Invoices and payment records are retained for as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires (currently five years). Trial leads that are never activated are deleted after around twelve months. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your data yourself here anytime, or email us at nordtechsoftware@gmail.com for any request and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Norway, that is Datatilsynet.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know.
